NEW!!! If you want to video yourself playing your next belt song and email it to Ms. Gentile, we can count that as a test! One video per student per day please. At the beginning of the video, hold up your music to show me you don't have any letters written on it ; )
Recorder Karate is an exciting program 4th and 5th graders participate in regular music class. Recorder Karate is a fun way to practice music at home, reinforce your recorder skills, and become better at reading music on the staff. The great thing about Recorder Karate is you can work at your own pace.
Recorder Karate lets you earn belts based on your skill level. Students can test for their next color belt on select music class days. I will give you the sheet music for your next belt after you successfully test. The sheet music also includes information on reading and playing different pitches and how to read and perform different rhythms. These are all things we have learned and regularly use in music class. Recorder Karate is helping us reinforce our skills.
QUESTIONS
AND for 5th graders: Black Belt degrees (1 through 8) and Sensei (level 9)
